Zovikj and the whole Mariovo region is convenient for apiculture, due to the clean environment, water, and air. This bee-keeping tradition for Blagoja Stojanovski from Zovikj started a long time ago since he was 8 years old.

At that time, he used to have only 5 or 6 bee-families, but today there are about 200 of them. His great love for bees and hard work made him a successful and dedicated bee-keeper with a lot of satisfied customers. Even it is a very challenging and demanding job, Blagoja, has been with his ‘’second children’’ for 45 years, but since his retirement from the army, he has been enjoying the current full-time job. His wife and two children help him with the tasks and duties, and it is growing into a small family business now.
He produces only honey nowadays, which is raw and organic, without an expiration date and it can be used for decades even centuries.
