Gradeshka River, Mariovo

Gradeshka River springs out from the Kozjak Mountain from 1600 metres altitude. Being a collection of waters from the springs under Kravica and Dobro Pole, in the upper flow of the river, which is also known as Urupska, and due to its stone basin abundant in falls and water rapids some even call it Stone River.

An especially interesting location is the upper part of the flow above the village Gradeshnica, a place called “Gradeshka River Springs”.
In the past, there were many watermills that functioned on the Gradeshnica River. There is a canyon valley passing through the village Staravina, up to the part of the entry in Crna River. Near the village Zovikj, it flows under “Stone Bridge”, a symbol of Mariovo, and some place lower, in the place called Elenik, theSatoka River intertwines, and on an altitude of 410 metres, they both flow into Crna River, in the vicinity of the monastery Chebren.
